Duckworth Off Road Driving Day
Duckworth Land Rover has recognised that many of our customers enjoy driving their vehicles both on and off road. We arrange various off-road driving days where, on a first-come-first-served basis, we will hold a vehicle based orienteering day covering some of the most picturesque areas of Lincolnshire. Participants experience the joys of light off-road driving in their own vehicles on Lincolnshire green lanes. We usually include a pub lunch or BBQ weather dependent.
The cost for these days is £45 per car to raise money for St. Andrew's Children's Hospice, Grimsby.
Recently, Duckworth Land Rover, Market Rasen did what we do best! We treated a small group of customers to a day’s Off Roading in the idyllic Lincolnshire Wolds and managed to raise almost £300 for St Andrew’s Hospice, Grimsby.
Twenty customers were put through their paces in spectacular settings, most declaring they had no idea just how stunning these parts of our county really are. The land is all privately owned and we would like to say a big thank you to the following; Mr Charles Dobson of South Elkington, Mr Tim Lamyman of Worlaby and Mr Jonathon Fenwick of Claxby for their generosity in allowing us on their land.
During the day, nine Land Rovers travelled over 70 miles, virtually all on the private lanes and parkland. Everyone enthused about the potential of winning the prizes on offer.
The winners were as follows;
* Tom Slater – The youngest competitor aged 3 yrs.
* Jason Myers and his brother – The most enthusiastic.
* Richard Wright and Mr Crawford – The Bravest with their new vehicles.
